Overview

OINK is a premium food brand developed for Sin Ravnice, a Croatian producer dedicated to the breeding of the indigenous Black Slavonian Pig and the production of traditional meat delicacies. Founded by Croatian football player Domagoj Vida and his partners, the company sought to introduce these regional products to a wider audience through a distinctive contemporary brand experience.

The Challenge

The objective was to launch a new premium brand built around products made from the indigenous Black Slavonian Pig. The challenge was to create a distinctive identity that would communicate authenticity, craftsmanship, and regional heritage without relying on expected rural or folkloric stereotypes. In addition to developing the brand name and visual identity, the project included the creation of a premium gift packaging system capable of introducing the brand to both consumers and hospitality professionals.

The Solution

The project began with the development of the brand name. OINK creates an immediate association with pork products through the universally recognizable sound of a pig, while simultaneously revealing the word "INK" within the name. This secondary layer of meaning became the foundation of the visual identity and packaging concept.
Inspired by the black ink associated with traditional printmaking, a series of linocut illustrations was developed to communicate craftsmanship, authenticity, and a connection to heritage. The expressive character of the technique reflects the artisanal nature of the products while providing the brand with a distinctive visual language. Combined with a refined gift packaging system designed for the brand launch, the result is a memorable identity that successfully bridges local tradition with contemporary premium positioning.
